2020
In 2020 DEMI was selected to participate in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution ’s Pandemic Oral History Project, a series of 85 interviews of American artists and world figures living and working through the seismic events of 2020.
This dedicated collection gives voice to the arts community during one of the most turbulent periods in modern history, a time in which many cultural institutions have been forced to temporarily or permanently close, radically reshaping relationships between artists and the public.
2012
DEMI’S biography, artist statement and images of her paintings has been included in the prestigious Feminist Art Base of the Brooklyn Museum Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
2011
Nominated for an Joan Mitchell Foundationʼs Painters’ Fellowship.
2009
The U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, personally invited DEMI to display one of her paintings in the U.S. Embassy residence in the Vatican City as part of the prestigious Art in Embassies program.
